I thought that moving to Pittsburgh would be a big lifestyle change for me. New people, new environment, and new experiences were waiting here for me. The more I try to analyze the experience of being in a new city the more I realize that it isn’t all that different than home. I’ve lived in Pittsburgh for almost two years now. I originally lived in Northville Michigan, about 15 minutes from Detroit, and now I live in Mt. Lebonon, about 15 minutes from Pittsburgh. First moving here Pittsburgh had a sense of excitement to it, with so much to explore and see. Time passed and life became a cycle of work and school. I started to realize that my lifestyle hadn’t changed much from when in lived in Michigan. My life had gone through a more discrete change than I originally thought it had. It was like the frame had changed but the picture hadn’t. I never saw this as something negative, I am just surprised at how quickly I had adapted.
